Learning to rotate an image is one of the simplest and most straightforward things you can do to edit a picture. The function is so standard and commonplace that there are two easy ways to do it:
- Click “Image” > “Transform” then select the desired rotation for the image.
- There is also a GIMP tool specifically made to rotate images. You can access the rotate tool in the toolbox, or by holding down Shift+R while inside the image.
- Make sure “Tool Options” are visible and that under “Transform” the left button “Transform Layer” is selected.
- Now click your mouse inside the image and drag it. A grid will appear that rotates as you drag. When the grid looks the way you want it, click “Rotate.”
